Sports writers participating in Oliver Perez existence-denial.

In this recent article from MLB.com, I noticed a glaring omission of our favorite team pariah, "Jolly Ollie" Perez. It appears that everyone remotely involved in the baseball world -- not just the Mets organization, as we once thought -- is partaking in a vast conspiracy to deny the very existence of Mr. Perez.

Of the 33 players on their active roster, just four -- David Wright, Jose Reyes, Carlos Beltran and Mike Pelfrey -- were around when the Mets last held a champagne celebration in 2006.

However, as my research indicates, this "Oliver Perez" actually was on the Mets' active roster when they clinched the NL East in 2006. And he is, believe it or not, on their active roster now. Seriously, I don't think we have any idea HOW HIGH UP THIS GOES.
