The Mets have signed 37 year-old lefty reliever Tim Byrdak to a minor league deal, according to Adam Rubin. The Byrdman is an extreme LOOGY, as Eric covered on Wednesday. He will compete with Taylor Tankersley and maybe Mike O'Connor for the lefty specialist job formerly held by Pedro Feliciano.
