The Next Fernando Tatis?
Remember when we signed a "finished" Fernando Tatis before 2007 and he turned into a great bench player for us?
Just a thought on a slow news day, but I think we should give a minor league deal to Eric Byrnes. He stole 50 bases in 2007 and has shown a little power over his career. He could be the fan favorite to replace Francoeur, though not in a starting role. Plus the obvious "grission" factor...

Whats up Scotty, how was your new year?
Gas prices today are a lot like a pitcher's ERA. Anything under 3 is amazing, under 4 is pretty good and anything 5 and up is something you want to avoid.
Whose Scotty?
There’s been a lot of talk about him lately.
Was he a troll or something?

it hasn’t been updated since May 2009, so some more recent ones are missing but the fundamental AA memes are in there.

I'm guessing the script is gonna run something like this.
Cue the: “This is a blog where I can express my opinion and you can’t tell me not to”
Then: “No, read the community guidelines and the unofficial rules. FanPosts are for things that took some research or thought beyond a simple idea. This should be a chat FanShot.”
Then We All Decide Whether We Like the Author By His Choice Between (i) “Nuh Uh, I can do what I want” (dislike) or (ii) “Oh hey, sorry about that. I’ll make this a FanShot next time. So in any event what do you think of the idea?” (like).

Some people are ok with the bare minimum, but I thought FanPosts were for people who want to express themselves.
Don’t you want to express yourself?

Eric Chavez
He is perhaps the position player equal of Kelvim Escobar but I wouldn’t mind having a utility corner infielder to mainly give Dubs a couple breathers. Lord knows he could use some days off to keep him from pressing himself into his occasional streaks..

Eh, Emaus and Turner can do that.
I’d be okay with a ST non-roster invitee but that about as far as I’d go with Chavez.

I'm pretty sure Byrnes not being able to crack a .275 OBP since 2007
makes acquiring him with the idea of actually letting him play a bad idea.
And he's still playing softball
& appears to be high on something when he’s on MLB Network.
What's that about?
If Omar was still here, he'd trade
Urbina and Puello to that softball team for Byrnes.

no thanks leave him on TV
Murphy if healthy will be able to play a lot of positions, he can start at 2B and then sub somewhere else when needed and have someone else take 2B (Turner or Emaus) or if Turner or Emaus win 2B job, Murphy is the bench guy that can play 1B,2B 3B, OF
Any task BIG or small, Do it well or not at all
Except I wouldnt let him near the OF.
Do you remember what happened last time he was out there? Murph can be a super sub INF.
