This link was in the Applesauce so y'all may have seen it but this article is too appropriate
for anyone subjecting themselves to Buck/McCarver for this series.

It doesn't seem fair
That the radio broadcast has Bobby V and Orel Hershiser, but they’re not synced up so you can’t just mute these buffoons and listen to the radio.
They oughta pass some legislation about this. The broadcasters should support it because you get 2x as many ads.
Amen, I say
I say, Amen!

It would also give FOX an idea about what baseball fans really think of their broadcast booth
__________________________________________________

Fox doesn't care what baseball fans think
If only baseball fans watched, the ratings would suck! That’s why they need to have their best footbal play by play guy do baseball!
Kicking knowledge in the face.
Buck isn't their best football guy either

Looks like a decent amount of Cardinal fans there?
Well, those fuckers are everywhere, I guess

Why are we looking at D Jeter right now
Is it still inconceivable that he is not in this series right now?
Mets, Jets, Islanders, Knicks.
GO RANGERS! Get Endy a ring!
Because he gave both Buck & McCarver the gift that keeps on giving

Murphy's presence as an 8 hitter
is similar to that of Scott Brosius.
High praise, Tim.
Kicking knowledge in the face.
Does anyone else get the feeling that to be in this position, the Cardinals
must have made some demonic pact that is ensuring they get all the breaks?

I find it tough to get indignant about it now

The thing is
Pete Rose didnt cheat, he gambled. His banning is retarded, and if Bonds, Sosa, McGuire and the rest of the juicing douchers get in before Pete it will be a black mark on the Hall.

Disagree
The view I’ve always subscribed to is that gambling is just as bad if not worse since it may well have changed the way he managed. I mean, take your pick as to whether it’s worse than steroids, but betting on games in which you’re in control of making decisions (especially if, as the investigator thinks, Rose made bets against the Reds) is pretty damaging to the integrity of the competition.
True
Then dont put him in the Hall as a manager, make his plaque exclusively for his stats as a player and dont mention his manager career at all.

Pujols's agent
must’ve died & gone to heaven with the way Pujols has bounced back this playoff from a subpar(by his amazing standards) season & LOLworthy contracts given to Howard & the Horse in the Bronx.
What's that about?

Well he'll be 32 next year
So I would think the max legnth of contract could be 8 years. The max per year could be $30. So I would think the max deal would be $240mill. I don’t see that happening so I guesses 7 yr, $200.
by CervezaVerde on Oct 23, 2011 12:25 AM EDT up reply actions
its probably a reasonable estimate
just seems wrong someone is getting more money than him

Ken Davidoff:
’When you play such a critical role, particularly in a loss, you face the heat and explain what happened. This is standard operating procedure in media relations and, more importantly, being a good teammate. Had Alex Rodriguez , Derek Jeter , David Wright or Jose Reyes goofed, they absolutely would have stood by their locker and not only cooperated with the media but taken heat off their teammates.
Instead, Pujols never appeared for questioning. Neither, reportedly, did Lance Berkman , Matt Holliday nor Yadier Molina .’

Can't say enough about Kyle Lohse's performance
He really showed grit and grinded it out and led the Cards to victory by keeping them in the game. This was a legendary start tonight.
