This may have flown under your radar. The Arizona Diamondbacks invited a kid named Max Ashton to throw out the ceremonial first pitch on behalf of the Foundation for Blind Children prior to Game 4 of the National League Division Series.
It should be noted that Ashton is blind. So how'd he do? You should really see for yourself.

Good for Max Ashton
and kudos to the D’Backs for giving him the opportunity.
Max certainly did a far better job than some sighted people we’ve seen throw out the first pitch.

yeah
Max certainly did a far better job than some sighted people we’ve seen throw out the first pitch.
I think he did a better job than Oliver Perez.

Mariah Carey, too.
At least she has an excuse. Carl Lewis has none.

Amazing
That was great and it definitely flew under my radar. I wish I would have seen it before now. Good for him.
Did anyone see the Rangers?
They had the son of the guy who fell to his death throw out the first pitch to Josh Hamilton for one of the playoff games. Yeah, I pretty much cried when I saw that.

That's what I was going to say
If Eric Gregg was umpiring.
One of the best ceremonial pitches I've seen
He’s blind AND he made it all the way AND he pitched a strike.
Someone tell this kid to teach John Wall to pitch

This was heartwarming
I enjoyed the look of pure delight on Lyle Overbay’s face as he caught that ball.
Kid was good but...not Dickey good!

Actually if the kid is unsigned I know one roster spot that could be open.
