With the need to fill SS and OF spots, how do the Mets fill those holes with FA or internal promotions?

Murphy/Pagan/Duda
If it comes down to Murphy or Bay, play Murph. I hate the argument that we pay Bay too much to bench him. The money is committed, we are paying him no matter what. I would rather pay him 16M to sit the bench than 16M to hurt the team playing every day. I don’t care who makes what, field your best lineup.
That said I would still start Murph at second and Bay in left because I think Bay has more potential for a productive year than Turner. Hopefully he can continue hitting well like he did in September and someone will take him off our hands around the deadline.
There is still a chance that Bay can have a BABIP fueled run that makes him easier to trade
That is why he gets playing time. We’re not going to contend in 2012. If we can get several million off the books for the 2013 season, we’ll have a better shot at being competitive then.

Plus, if he sucks again in 2012, it's even easier to justify
benching him in 2013, thus hopefully keeping the option from vesting.

Playing pagan in left and Bay in center
WTF is this guy talking about? Very confusing.
Updated.
I know, I was crazy assuming Bay can be moved to CF. Fixed to reflect him back at LF. The original idea was to get Murphy some playing time, but yes, ZZPops brings up a good point. Benching Bay in favor of Murphy sounds like a decent idea.
Bay/Pagan/Duda OF and same with Tejada replacing Reyes at SS.
