It makes you remember, how just three years ago,
David Wright was one of the brightest, most exciting and popular athletes on Earth; along with Reyes, it was fun to tell people i was a Mets fan. Well that ship has sailed. T.T

If the Mets are truly entertaining offers from the Phillies, then the Wilpons have truly ruined the organization
Nonetheless, they have in fact ruined the organization, but this would be rubbing it right in the fans faces.

Even if they were going to offer their whole farm system, and the rays farm system, and 20% of their profits for the next 40 years and Wright put up 0 WAR next year
I would jump off a bridge before I’d live to see a season where David Wright was in a Phillie’s uniform and Jose Reyes was in a Marlin’s uniform.

Dykstra and McDowell to the Phillies was not cool.
Gooden and Strawberry on the Yankees sucked. But I would just stop watching baseball before jumping off a bridge ; (
In fact, I may just stop watching baseball anyway.

This makes me sad...
thinking about how great Wright used to be. I like to hold out a shred of hope the fences being moved in will help restore him back to what he used to be, but it seems like so long ago now…that I just don’t really believe he’ll get back to that level anymore.
I just don’t understand it.

Agree with this sentiment
And I’d have a hard time rationalizing the logistics of another in division slice of my soul sitting in the visiting dugout. So irrational indeed that I’d contemplate boycotting Wilponzi ownership. I admit that I’ve been calculating and cold at the couer in regards to the current roster components but Dubs for anything short of batshit crazy returns is a no go. Give me Larry Bernandez or give me death.

A hitters ball park could definitely help him
but I get why Met fans would not want to see him in Philly.
No matter who Wright could perhaps be traded to, it definitely has to be a team with more hitter friendly confines, and they would have to eat every cent of what he is due this year, pay the $1mm option for 2013 to get anything of value back for him.
Definitely not an enviable position for the Mets.
