Phil Niekro shared with me a thing that I’ve really kept close to my heart, as far as pitching goes. And that is: I throw a bad knuckleball, or I throw a great knuckleball, or I throw one that goes behind the hitter’s head, or throw one that he swings and misses and hits him, or whatever I do, always act like I meant to do it. Because the hitter doesn’t know the difference.

Awesome, is anyone else more excited to watch Dickey than any other Met right now? Also, opening day starter? And if so, will he be the first knuckleballer ever to do so?

I believe Pelf
has already been named Opening Day starter. He’d be the first knuckler to start for a Merts opener (the only other knuckler I can even recall is Dennis Springer in a mercifully brief stint. Of course, Phil Niekro did it lots of times for the Braves. I would guess Joe Niekro might have done the same for Houston, and possibly even for San Diego.
What's the score, boys?
What did Bugs Bunny do?
What's with the Carrot League baseball today?
I still think this was a mistake.
Pelf will have his day if he keeps at it. Dickey’s 2010 season should have earned him the honors . . .

do we start home or away?
It would be nice for Dickey to be the Home Starter…
I think it was Bobby V who said: "You are never as good as you are when you are at your best, and you are not as bad as when you are at your worst."
we start away
if Dickey is the 2 starter he’d be scheduled to start the home opener i believe
Hey, wait! I'm having one of those things. You know? A headache with pictures?

You're right.
That’s nice. Of course they could also skip #5 the first turn through the rotation, since there is an off-day on 4/4.

Not sure its all that relative here, but if Dickey were on Twitter, he’d be one of those people who gets everyone of their tweets re-tweeted by 100+ people because everything he says is so damn awesome.
Nobody likes the Dickheads, and everything I type is amazing, so...
You’d be surprised.

Dickey
has mastered the concept of the fallacy of intent. Wonder if he can help me write an english paper
