ST Daily Farm Reports 3/19

The Bisons dropped their second straight, this time to the Memphis Cardinals (Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals) by the score of 5-3. And for the second straight day RF Fernando Martinez and DH Val Pascucci provided the offense; each finished the game 1-3 with a run driven in. On the mound, RHP Dylan Owen made his first spring start going two scoreless with one strikeout. As for Binghamton, an eight inning rally that plated two runs boosted them to a 5-4 victory over the Cardinals Double-A affiliate in Springfield. 1B Jeff Flagg and OF Rafael Fernandez came through with the big blows in that inning, both RBI singles. RHP Jenrry Mejia made his first start for the B-Mets and threw three scoreless innings. Embattled starter RHP Brad Holt allowed three runs in his first inning of relief but came back with two more scoreless.
