Mets ST Farm Report 3/22
Buffalo continued their winless spring yesterday with a 0-2 defeat at the hands of the Memphis Redbirds. RHP Dillon Gee made his first Triple-A start of 2011 and allowed just one run on three hits and seven K's in 4.2 innings. RHP Ryota Igarashi, RHP John Lujan and RHP Manny Alvarez all threw an inning of shutout relief. Offensively, the Herd was limited to just three hits two of which belonged to OF Jesus Feliciano.
Binghamton too lost to a Cards affiliate yesterday, 3-2. RHP Brandon Moore made his first start of the spring, allowing two runs on four hits over three innings of work. RHP Collin McHugh followed with three no-hit innings. The B-Mets bats totalled seven hits, all of them singles
Savannah got their spring season underway last night with a 14-5 drubbing of the Cards' Single-A affiliate. The top prospects were on display in this one: CF Darrell Ceciliani was impressive going 3-for-3 with two runs and a SB, 3B Aderlin Rodriguez went 1-for-2 with an RBI and SS Robbie Shields was 1-for-1 with a run and two RBI's.
