Who's on the waiver wire?
Manny Acosta IS on the wire but a certain somebody doesn't appear to be there yet. Perhaps Nick Evans is actually some kind of vampire so that his image doesn't appear in mirrors, nor his name on transaction lists.

Presumably
waiver placement isn’t an official transaction because nothing has actually happened yet. If he clears waivers then he’ll be reassigned to Buffalo. If he’s claimed then he’ll go elsewhere.
So, Acosta cleared waivers, then?

Really?
Wow, that’s odd. You’d think some team out there has an extra slot in the bullpen open for a guy who’s relatively cheap and young, had a 2.95 ERA (and a 3.63 FIP, for the more savvy front-office guys), and a K/9 rate of almost ten (9.53). Yeah, the walks were a bit high (4.08 BB/9), as well as the HR/FB (10.3%), but there’s a lot of guys out there who are worse.
