The Making of Puppy Avenue: The 2011 Edition!

Puppyavenue2011_medium

Well folks...another season of Mets baseball is upon us and the team has a roster filled with a number of new players. Do you know what that means? That's right! It's time for the Amazin' Avenue community to help create Puppy Avenue: The 2011 Edition! Click past the jump to read the details!

Your task is to scour the interwebs looking for pictures of dogs that resemble the people that make up our beloved New York Mets. The goal? Create an entire canine Mets roster. Why? Because it's fun (DUH!!!). To add to the madness, I would also like to have a canine front office, a canine Mets broadcast team and any other Mets or baseball associated people you can think of, like we had last year (ex-players, current ownership, Mets employees, etc). When you find a rockin' picture, post it in the comment section of this thread. If you really like a picture that was posted, give it a +1. You can vote for as many pictures as you'd like, but I'd just like to get a count as to which picture people like best so I am not the only person choosing. Some players may get one picture, others may get multiple pictures depending on what we find and how the voting turns out. Also, I'd prefer not to reuse any of the pictures from last season's Puppy Avenue, so please be creative and look for new and different pictures (except, of course, for the originator Ike Davis Dog):

Finally, in case you missed the first edition of Puppy Avenue and are looking at this Fanpost and thinking "WTF is this guy talking about", here is the link to the original Puppy Avenue from last year (and just an FYI...if you're using Google Chrome like me, you may get a virus warning regarding one of the pictures, but you can ignore that. It seems to be harmless). Before we begin, I'd like to look back to our 2010 Puppy Avenue and recognize those Puppies that did not make the 2011 Mets. These canines are on other teams, some cut, traded or waived and others are unemployed or even retired. Click play below to view the video:

So, without further ado, have at it in the comments section below! Once all of the results are in, I will put together a Fanpost with the complete Puppy Avenue 2011 Roster.
