I have startlingly few of what you might call "blogging philosophies," but I firmly believe that you can never have too many great writers. I think we already have the best collection of Mets writers gathered in one place, but whenever a great Mets writer becomes available I make every effort to bring him (or her) aboard.

With that as the backdrop, I'm pleased to announce that Matthew Artus, heretofore the Mets blogger extraordinaire at NJ.com's Always Amazin', has officially joined the crew and will make his debut tomorrow. Matthew is incredibly bright and a terrific writer, and above all else he really gets blogging and seems just as jaded and cynical as the rest of us.
