FYI in case you missed it,
the announcers said it was 35 degrees at first pitch. I’d have to guess that certainly isn’t helping Mejia’s control issues.

Movement looks pretty good, location not so much. Trouble with walks, missing a lot of spots. Of course, it’s about 35 in Buffalo, so that’s probably part of that.

Hu is a waste of a roster spot.
For an occasional Reyes rest (1d/month?), I would be enough.
If someone has to play SS for extended period of time, then they could call someone else.

Also both college players who were underwhelming at first. The comp was thrown out there as an absolute ceiling in case he developed some gap power.
