so why are we paying any hitting coach if they can't see and fix this?
but great analysis by fans can potentially do so?

the photos are taken from different angles
which could exaggerate the differences he is pointing out. The only thing that seems significantly different is that in this picture his hands appear to be higher than in the Red Sox equivalent.

One day, this team is going to kill me.

I don’t think it’s clear from the article when this “new” stance – assuming it is one – started. Was he using his “old” stance last year? I

I don't know, but he had better find his power stroke soon
or this could turn out to be one of the worst contracts in team history.

If he sucks enough,
he probably won’t get the playing time to trigger the vest.

I don't know
The terms seem even easier to reach than BB-Rod’s. It’s a club option that becomes guaranteed with 600 plate appearances or 500 plate appearances in both 2012 and 2013. I mean, considering that he’ll be making 16 million in both seasons, I just don’t see how he won’t be starting unless he’s somehow traded or released or injured.

Well that's why I wanted the Mets to Sign Bay's old
Hitting coach from Pitt. Go back to the basics and do what go you the $80 million contract. Guys forget how to perform once they sign that huge contract .
maybe some guys put a lot more pressure on thesmelves?
when they sign large contracts.

I think that it's that as well as age
Many elite players who become free agents do so at their peak, and soon begin to go into decline.

this is why you don’t sign aging Free Agents to long term contracts…but rather develop your own superstars (like Wrongs and reyes
