Because something like this deserves its own topic. Thanks to MetsFan4Decades for posting it in the Mets victory of the Nats thread. I've been a Mets fan since I was born in 1984, there is a picture of my family in front of Shea Stadium during the 86 World Series. This team has been chaotic during the 90s and a roller coaster during the 2000s and I have still stuck by them. I bleed Blue and Orange, Green and White (Jets) and Red and Black (Devils) and will bleed those colors until I can no longer comprehend sports. A real Mets fan in my opinion is those who have stuck by this team through the thick and thin. As we all know there were plenty of chances to jump on the Yankee's bandwagon and/or the Giants bandwagon but plenty of us stood by our Mets. Those are real Mets fans.
