Gary Carter Has Four Small Tumors On His Brain
As first reported by the Daily News:
Mets Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter has been diagnosed with four small tumors on his brain and will be going to Duke University Hospital for surgery in the next day or so, the Daily News has learned.
According to sources close to Carter, the 57-year-old Met icon has been complaining of headaches and forgetfulness in recent days and underwent an MRI in a hosptial near his Palm Beach Gardens home Saturday, where the tumors were discovered.
Our thoughts are certainly with Carter and his family.

I really hope so too
However, multiple brain tumors are typically malignant ones that spread from elsewhere in the body. Lets just hope its something that reacts well to chemo and radiation after the surgery.
well that sucks
1985 – First Met game I was ever at Carter hit a grand slam after an intentional pass to Hernandez. Great memory.
Get well soon Kid.

Good luck, Kid.

"You're Darryl Strawberry!" "Yes?" "You play right field!" "Yes?" "Well, are you better than me?" "I've never met you.... but.... yes."
Very Sad
Sounds like an early detection which is the only positive in the whole matter.

Any task BIG or small, Do it well or not at all
Sad News
Carter was my baseball hero growing up. For my birthday in 86 my folks gave me a Mets tee-shirt with “Carter – 8” on the back. I still have it. It does not fit me anymore, but it is a perfect fit for my wife.
Anyway, I hope Gary pulls through. My dad’s childhood baseball hero, Yogi Berra, is still alive.
Get well soon kid
