Gary Carter's Brain Tumors 'Inoperable' - Baseball Nation
Not good.
Kimmy Bloemers, the daughter of baseball Hall of Famer Gary Carter, wrote on the family’s website that her father’s brain tumors are inoperable, the Montreal Gazette reports.
"Dad’s tumor is not operable, as it is like a snake of tumors that are connected across the back of the brain," Bloemers wrote. "The biggest tumor is on the left side of the brain."

Ah, man. This sucks so much.
Hopefully they can use radiation or chemo still.
the brain does not absorb chemo very well.
which is partly why people with brain cancer have a low survival rate
Poor Kid
One day, this team is going to kill me.
Wow.
Terrible news.

Good luck. Gary.
Now, kids, being eaten by a crocodile is just like going to sleep; in giant blender.
Terrible News to Hear
Nothing but good wishes from PSA to Gary Carter and his family.
Unless you're a pitcher or Gustavo Molina, kindly SWING THE BAT and ignore the Binder's bunt signal.
My prayers and thoughts
With Kid and his family. May peace be in your hearts.
Proud to root for the Jets, Mets, and Islanders!!!
I hope Kid knows how many millions of fans are pulling for him.
If only positive thoughts and well-wishes were a cure. Sigh.

Awful, awful news.
Maybe you can have another Game 6 miracle, Kid.
What's the score, boys?
What did Bugs Bunny do?
What's with the Carrot League baseball today?
This news saddens me terribly.
I just lost my father to lung cancer (which metastized to his brain) 6 months ago. It’s news like today’s that remind us to take it a little easier with some of the so-called ‘important’ events of our day. Pelfrey blows up in the 6th? The bullpen implodes? None of it means a damn thing. There are things in our life that should be cherished and remembered and things like the Mets (and wins and losses and all the other garbage) that just help us pass the time, hopefully with a couple of laughs along the way.
My thoughts are definitely with the Kid and his family. There’s no need to tell him to keep on fighting, he’s a natural born fighter and we’ll keep on supporting him.
don't know your age, but....
sorry about your dad. Mine died of leukemia when I was 32, and it took me several years to get over it.
One day, this team is going to kill me.
