Wright mum on injury

I still think there is something lingering from when he got hit in the head.

What Would Matt Szczur Do?

It was getting better
His 2009 season:
April – 32.9%
May – 26.5%
June – 22.1%
July – 21.5%
August – 18.4%
September/October – 32.1%
Since the beaning, his lowest K% in a month was 22.8% last September.
yeah he has never been the same
he was hitting for a nice average at the time, staying somewhere near .320 that whole season. he had no HR, and few RBIs butthe RBI thing was because the team sucked. I think he is bailing out atthe plate more,

it does, but as a manager than you need to rest him
has he even had 1 day off yet. sit him for a game before a day off so he gets a long rest and put Murphy at 3B

He's had one day of rest.
Not counting the game or 2 before his DL stint.

This is one of those times
when an answer to a riddle or the tying of loose ends leaves me with no sense of satisfaction.

He’s been like this since last year.

On Sunday’s game, Ralph Kiner essentially went to town and called Wright (and to a greater extent Bay) a big blubbering pussy and he was absolutely right. As a power hitter, you absolutely have to have the courage to get on top of the plate and take the outside corner away from the pitcher. If you don’t, any decent pitcher is just going to flip breaking balls on the outside corner all day long. You may hit those the other way for singles, but you’ll never turn those into HR’s.
For some reason, both Wright (documented to death thanks to Matt Cain) and Bay (curiously undocumented) have backed off the plate considerably since 2009. I would classify Wright as a balanced hitter moreso than a power hitter, but his K totals started skyrocketing once he backed off the plate. He’s also standing much further back in the box, FWIW.
Bay’s power has essentially disappeared since he backed off the plate in 2010, and this is a much bigger problem since he profiles like a classic ‘pull everything’ power hitter who never really had terrific contact skills anyway. Wright can at least slash .310/.390/.450 and be a productive player without hitting bombs… if Bay doesn’t maintain an ISO of at least .140, he might as well be selling popcorn.

Recall hearing someone, having done the research,
saying that if you look at a group of overhead pictures of Wright from ‘06, ’07, ’08, ’09, ’10, and this season, he’s virtually in the same place in the batter’s box.

Then he should move in anyway since has bat has slowed down or something else is going wrong
Either way, pitchers are feeding him outside pitches and it’s killing him. Looking at Bay this year, he can’t even cover the corner.

His left foot is not striding into the plate but instead pulling off the ball.Wright has some
really bad at bats seemingly always behind 0-2.Drop him in the order to 5th or 6th might.help.because he is klling us 3rd.

Kieth showed tonight that his foot isn't the problem
it’s his hip. It’s flying out which is causing his shoulders to fly out.
Save Jenrry Mejia!
where's Dave Hudgins (sorry if I forget our new 'hitting' coach's name) on this?
don’t these guys watch videos of their old successful seasons?
if this is that obvious to us regular fans, and the broadcasters….blech

Got a feeing Ike has a much better idea on how to approach an AB than
David Wright does already in just his second year.If David stays healthy,he has a good chance to K 200x .It doesn’t seem to bother him or the Mets but it is really pissing me off seeing him fail again and again and again.
