The Kansas City Jeff Francoeur Blues

I just stumbled on this perversely hilarious story on the Royals SB Nation blog, Royals Review. Don't worry: I'm familiar with the context, and I can assure you that the "Great leadership" line is sarcastic. Full text of the post:

Remember When Jeff Francoeur Was Walking?

For a time, Jeff Francoeur was taking his walks. Of course, for a time he was also hitting for power and seemingly throwing someone out on the bases nightly. I can remember, not too long ago, tweeting that he was "walking into my heart."
Well, he has taken a walk since May 26. In his last 68 PAs, he's hitting .250/.250/.328. He's been Alcides Escobar, only he's hitting cleanup every night. Young impatient hitters after thousands of plate appearances tend to age into impatient hitters.
Great leadership though.
Once he passed Kila in total walks, which he did back on the 26th, he knew his job was done. He walked more than the Hawaiian dude everyone hated, so there!
