Link goes to a FanGraphs piece on Sanchez's availability and appeal. If we maintain our current run back to respectability, we could conceivably do with a pitcher that doesn't go all Pelfrey on us. Sanchez would come at a cost as he comes with one arbitration year remaining and also happens to be pretty damn good. But would this fit in with Sandy's long-term plan. Do we pass and look for cheaper options? Do we package an overachieving starter with some other prospects (the unsaber Valdespin for instance) to cleanse the system of Minaya's grubby hands?
