This only makes sense. We won't know if we can resign Reyes this year until we find out what our payroll will be, and frankly it makes little sense to trade Reyes. You won't get much for a two month rental, and Sandy n co. know that it's probably best that they get the draft picks rather than a weak trade haul. As for Wright, he wasn't in any real danger of being traded and this only cements that.
