Brian Cashman quoting an advanced statistic I'm not familiar with
"Looking at his 2008 minor league totals, Cashman noted that Igawa’s QERA or QuikERA — a statistic that estimates what a pitcher’s E.R.A. should be based on his strikeout rate, walk rate and ground ball-to-fly ball ratio — was 4.52."

So this would be used similar to how BABIP is used for hitters?
If a pitcher’s current QERA is much higher than his ERA, his performance is bound to regress and vice-versa?
that's the impression i get
you have to dig through to the third page of the article to get the context of that quote
...And Dickey pounds Poo-Holes inside
But does he have the good face?
"Blinding ignorance does mislead us. O! Wretched mortals, open your eyes!"
Gil Hodges IS a Hall of Famer.
