AAA - Buffalo Bisons (43-62)_______________________________________
SCRANTON/WB 3, BUFFALO 2 (Box)
Chris Schwinden had a very solid outing for the Herd, pitching 7 strong innings. It wasn't enough, however, as Buffalo managed to put only 2 runs on the board courtesy of a Raul Chavez double. An interesting but somewhat meaningless note to this one, Buffalo managed 9 hits during the contest and every starter had exactly 1.
- SS Ruben Tejada: 1-4, K
- 3B Josh Satin: 1-3, BB, K, R
- 2B Michael Fisher: 1-4, K
- RHP Chris Schwinden: 7 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 6 K, BB, HR
AA - Binghamton Mets (42-63)_____________________________________
PORTLAND 5, BINGHAMTON 2 (Box)
Portland defeated the Mets 5-2 with a solid display to take the series in Binghamton. Rumored (former) Alderson Beltran target Will Middlebrooks went deep to cap off the scoring in the 5th, finally coming to life after the Mets held him in check all series. The Mets managed to get plenty of baserunners aboard against Stephen Fife, but just couldn't get any across the plate against the Sea Dogs starter. All in all, it was a very typical B-Mets game.
- 2B Reese Havens: 1-4, BB, K
- 3B Eric Campbell: 1-4, 2B, R
- CF Matt Den Dekker: 1-5, 2 K
- 1B Allan Dykstra: 0-4, K
- SS Jordany Valdespin: 1-2, 2B
- RHP Tobi Stoner: 5.1 IP, 9 H, 5 R (4 ER), 4 K, 0 BB, 2 HR
Hi-A St. Lucie Mets (18-14)________________________________________
ST. LUCIE 7, DAYTONA 2 (Box)
St. Lucie exploded for 5 runs in the third to put this game out of reach early. Marte and Flores both grounded out after a Zapata leadoff double, but the Mets then strung together 4 straight hits. The final hit of the frame was a single from Cesar Puello which got by center fielder Evan Crawford allowing him to come all the way home. Good hustle by the youngster on that one.
- RF Cory Vaughn: 1-4, K, R
- 3B Jefry Marte: 0-4, 2 RBI
- SS Wilmer Flores: 2-4, BB
- RF Cesar Puello: 2-4, HR, 3 RBI, 2 R
Short Season A- Brooklyn Cyclones (21-17)_______________________________________
CONNECTICUT 9, BROOKLYN 6 (Box)
Less than stellar pitching did in the Cyclones in this one as Jeffrey Walters was very hitable. Danny Muno had another very solid game for the clones, and former second rounder Javier Rodriguez managed to draw 4 walks for the evening. Brooklyn will be finishing off their series with the Tigers tonight before taking the road to visit Vermont this weekend. I'll have some pictures from that series for you.

- LF Julio Concepcion: 3-6, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, 3 R
- OF Gregory Pron: 1-4, HR, 2 BB, K, RBI, R
- CF Eudy Pina: 1-4, BB, 2 K, R
- C Jeyckol De Leon: 1-4, BB, 2 K, RBI, R
- RF Gilbert Gomez: 0-4, BB, R
