Jordany Valdespin to Triple-A Buffalo
Via a Binghamton Mets Press Release:
"INF Jordany Valdespin option transferred from Binghamton (AA) to Buffalo (AAA)."
Valdespin was batting .297/.341/.483 in 107 games with Double-A Binghamton. He had been slumping of late, batting .217 over his last ten games and he's up to 29 errors this season, playing primarily shortstop. However based on comments from his recent 'State of the System' interview, DePo and the gang are still quite impressed with what they've seen from the 23-year old infielder.

Good News
Maybe, if Reyes is still out, we can get a look at him at SS in September as oppose to more of Tejada. I really think we might have something in Valdespin.
This is awesome!
I hope that we get to see him play 2B alongside Reyes next month.

This is very exciting
his talent is a really unique blend and should be a lot of fun to watch at Citi someday
I LIKE IKE!
Lobby Rubin:
Spoke with talent evaluator who has been critical of Jordany Valdespin in the past. He said Valdespin has made strides, but head movement is still “significant.” That means Valdespin will get pounded with sliders down and in and high fastballs.
Valdespin does offset it somewhat with quick hands, but he hits a lot of mistakes that won’t exist at higher levels.
This evaluator has Valdespin as a major leaguer, but as a utility guy. Also said Valdespin has been better at not antagonizing teammates. twitter

What's that supposed to mean?
Also said Valdespin has been better at not antagonizing teammates
Was it him that got in trouble whenever it was, for behavioral issues?

I had read before that he got in trouble with umps and managers, and got benched/suspended because of it.

Yeah
He’s had temper issues in the past that have caused run-ins with umps, coaches, teammates…pretty much everyone.
