As Much as i want Beltran to get a ring
I Hope the D’backs win the division, they don’t deserve to with how they are treating him
Fine, give us Beltran back then you ungrateful...
Squeezed to Song and Bendtner and Song and Nasri oh lovely lovely lovely!
-Peter Drury, the one time his commentating has ever been acceptable.
Correction: Beltran cannot win with dumb fans
I consider myself a smart fan, and I love the Tron
It's probably Beltran, not luck or something he mentioned himself
To make matters worse, the most of the everyday lineup is dealing with some injury or another and plenty of players are on the disabled list
Beltran, the silent assassin
Hey, wait! I'm having one of those things. You know? A headache with pictures?

.
First of all, Beltran is an All-Star right fielder and took over the position upon his arrival. That forced Nate Schierholtz(notes) to slide over to left field. He was on a tear during the season and hit nearly as well as Pablo Sandoval(notes) for a while. Unfortunately, he began to slump albeit a bit before the Beltran trade. Still, having to move over to left field and learn the subtle differences from right field probably did not help Schierholtz mend his offensive slump.
It’s absolutely Beltran’s fault Schierholtz sucks now. You know, the guy with a career 90 wRC+.
It is not like the team was hitting well before he came, but the team still is not hitting since Beltran came over from the Mets. With that in mind, his arrival could have affected the team on a mental level—even if that sounds a bit dumb.I now I feel like playing like shit when my team gets an All-Star. You know, the team with a 79 wRC+ on the season.
He was brought in to help the team make it to the postseason and is not doing that, so it makes sense that people want him playing in games—even a bench role would have been better than a trip to the DL.Helath is false hustle. 4 PA’s a week is totally better then taken 14 days off and coming back 100%.
Beltran is obviously not trying to sabotage the team or anything, but bad things have happened since he came to San Francisco.I’m not saying, but I’m just saying.

Clearly
Beltran can't handle the SF media
You don't cheer for the Mets. You drink for the Mets.
Yes, blame Beltran for the fact that the Giants were frauds
who couldn’t keep winning every game by one run. Blame Beltran for the fact that the Giants lineup is a complete joke all around. Blame Beltran for the fact that several other players have gotten hurt.
But most of all, blame Beltran for making Brian Sabean trade his best prospect for a 34 year old rental.
BLAME BELTRAN.

Here's a comment from the article.
ScottB – You talk as if Beltran is Eric Hinske and has won wherever he’s played…….which couldn’t be further from the truth. Beltran is a selfish player who has NEVER won anything, NEVER put a team over-the-top, NEVER shown any heart or grit, and NEVER plays through pain. He is futility in motion, a player whose skills are falling faster than a lead balloon.
You blame Bocce, teammates, and trainers…..but not Beltran for his poor performances, constantly fragile health, and horrid character. Are you guys related???
Facts are clear…..San Fran was a team and they won a World Series as a team without any All Stars in the field except for 2 of their pitchers. Whats the 1st thing Beltran did when he was traded? He walked-up to his new manager and asked for his number 15. Can you imagine? Bocce just won a Championship and here’s this new guy asking for his jersey……what a disrespectful act on Beltran’s behalf. For a guy who can no longer run, field, hit, or throw, Beltrans got balls the size of church bells…….he’s without a doubt the least likely player to be named “clutch” and even less likely to be considered a team player or a gritty player. Beltran’s problem, he truly believes the @#$% Mr. Boras has been spewing for the past 6 years instead of proving himself on the field.
Personally, I’d forbid Carlos from being on my team and I am certain the better, smarter teams will avoid him like the cancer he is……
This man… this man is an idiot.
Who the hell is Bocce?
I could go for some Bocce ball. Anyone up for it after the aftershock?
Now, kids, being eaten by a crocodile is just like going to sleep; in giant blender.
Yikes.

Wow

Umm that’s probably not the first thing he did and also Bochy (or “Bocce” apparently) didn’t care at all about giving up his number. But don’t take it from me, let’s let him explain:
“I didn’t hesitate,” said Bochy, who took No. 16. "I’m not real sentimental about a number. I’m not playing. I have a jacket on most times anyway. I want the player to be comfortable. As a player, you get used to a number and I was glad to give it up, 15’s been on the bench long enough. . . . I told him I don’t need a watch.’’
Literally every sentence in that post is the exact opposite of the truth. That’s just one of the astonishing 19 (by my generous count) demonstrably false statements in that comment.
He asked for his number,
What kind of scumbag does that?

My god, this is a whole new level of stupid
The Giants weren’t hitting well before they traded for Beltran. The Giants still aren’t hitting well. Ergo, it’s Beltran’s fault. That seems like sound reasoning.
Oh, and someone please inform Derrick Williams that Nate Schierholz isn’t “slumping”, he’s always been a shitty hitter.

Beltran
is my favorite baseball player of all time. I miss him on the Mets and hope he comes back in the off-season. This article is dumb, the comments are dumb (except for mistermet) it is almost as bad as people who hate him for striking out on a pitch that no one was hitting, or for his lack of emotion. Newsflash he has the same face whether he makes a game saving catch, hits a walk off grand slam, or strikes out. He was so good in his prime that he made the spectacular look mundane. Too many people have forgotten about that Beltran it is sad. Get well Voltron and come back to the Mets!
