Alternate-mo-zone

Here's my idea for the hated Mo's Zone. Fence it in. Use the new space as an added picnic/area for the Mo Zone which would make the Zone cooler and more spacious so as not to upset your sponsor. You could add picnic tables and maybe even a small 2 or 3 row bleacher seating by the fence. Unlike my LF idea I think this is doable. embiggen

I like it

It looks like a good idea, kinda like the D-Backs with the pool in the outfield, but instead we have what you thought of.

Sounds like a good idea

It would be a great place to go if you want to catch a home run.

I know people like the chain link fence hole thing in the current Mo Zone where you can stand at field level and watch the game from the right fielders point of view. This doesn’t seem like a bad idea and I wouldn’t be upset if the Mets kept that however I just wished they would even out the fence back there, the whole rounding thing is pretty stupid.

This is a really good idea

It doesn’t destroy the Mo’s zone; it expands it. Clever way to handle the sponsor issue, too.

You have very clever ideas.

Actually... they should make it the opposing bullpen

Then the fans could harass view the visiting team’s pitchers.

I lobby parking Dubby's Lincoln XYZ's somewhere in there

to go along with the rest of his formerly patented 415ish foot oppo-flyball outs that he can park out there with them.

Ok, between this and your other idea in the other thread

who do you think you are? A really skilled architect with great ideas who is trying to make Citi Field better?

Nice job with these.

Wright would have about 5-8 more a year at home…Seeing these balls fly out of Philly is getting absurd… Wish we could hit some at our park.

The biggest problem I have with it

is that it’s way too logical, and we’re talking about the WIlpons here.

How do you like them home run apples?

That sounds nuts enough to actually work!

This should be made into a schematic and nailed to Wilpons ass

This actually appears like it will work, be cheap and keep the fans in close proximity to the game.

Furthermore, WRIGHT GETS HIS HR SWING BACK!!!!!

Just one revision, though, so that the Mo Zone actually lives up to its name:
