Weird British Interpretation of Baseball
OK, I don't really know the story behind this, but apparently in the 1980s there was televised international "baseball" between parts of the UK and it doesn't look a whole lot like real baseball. It is called 'British Baseball' and I can't believe I've never come across it before (as a British fan of baseball, I mean). More details on the sport here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_baseball

They get into some crazy shenanigans in Wales, eh?
I would be interested in seeing a game of this, though.

Yeah
I’ll check one out if it comes to London ever. There’s plenty still going on, it seems: http://www.welshbaseball.co.uk/news_8.html
I wish we had "American soccer"
where fat, roided out dudes in eye-black spat tobacco all over the field.

Got me thinking
When my pops went to Finland for a conference a couple years ago, he was introduced to Finnish baseball, which is REALLY wacky.

The wikipedia article distinguishes it from rounders.
Apparently it’s about half-way between rounders and cricket.
