Congratulations to Josh Satin and Josh Stinson who were both promoted to the ML roster last night
AAA - Buffalo Bisons (60-77)_______________________________________
SYRACUSE 3, BUFFALO 1 (Box)
Mark Cohoon wasn't bad, but the bats and the defense weren't up to par. It's been another of those types of seasons in Buffalo.
- SS Jordany Valdespin: 1-5, 2B, K
- IF Josh Satin: 2-4, 2B
- LHP Mark Cohoon: 6.1 IP, 5 H, 3 R (1 ER), 3 K, 3 BB, 0-2
AA - Binghamton Mets (64-72)_____________________________________
BINGHAMTON 6, ERIE 5 (Box)
Eric Campbell and Jeurys Familia had solid outings, and the B-Mets continued their climb back to respectability. 64-72 might not look great, but they've been much better since they bottomed out at 2 games under .500 in June. Brad Holt really does look better in the bullpen, it wouldn't surprise me to see him getting a long look in the spring.
- 2B Reese Havens: 0-3, BB, K, R
- LF Juan Lagares: 0-4
- 3B Eric Campbell: 2-4, HR, RBI, 2 R
- CF Matt Den Dekker: 0-3, K, RBI
- RHP Jeurys Familia: 5 IP, 5 H, 2 R(0 ER), 4 K, 2 BB
- RHP Brad Holt: 1.2 IP, 0 H, K, BB
Hi-A St. Lucie Mets (33-32)________________________________________
FT. MYERS 11, ST. LUCIE 7 (Box)
Poor pitching doomed the Metsies in this one, but the offense really did an admirable job. Cory Vaughn is flashing more power recently, as many of his outs have been the loud variety of late as well. Gilbert Gomez is also continuing to impress, not looking over his head at the age of 19.
- OF Gilbert Gomez: 1-4, BB, RBI
- RF Cory Vaughn: 1-5, HR, 2 K, 2 RBI, R
- 3B Jefry Marte: 0-5
- SS Wilmer Flores: 1-5, K, 3 RBI
- RF Cesar Puello: 2-4, 2B, BB, R
- C Francisco Pena: 2-4, K, R
- RHP Armando Rodriguez: 4 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, 2 K, 3 BB, HR
- LHP Josh Edgin: 1 IP, 2 H, 2 R (1 ER), 2 BB
Short Season A- Brooklyn Cyclones (41-29)_______________________________________
BROOKLYN 4, LOWELL 1 (Box)
Danny Muno and Jeff Walters were the stars of this one, with the former looking particularly impressive yesterday. The clones won't claim another division title this year, but as usual they were among the best teams in the NY Penn league.
- SS Danny Muno: 3-4, 2B, BB, R, SB(8)
- RF Javier Rodriguez: 0-5, 2 K
- 3B Brian Harrison: 0-4
- CF Travis Taijeron: 1-4, 2 K
- RHP Jeffrey Walters: 5 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 5 K, BB
