The NY Times on Citi Field's Dimensions
Gotta love the quote from Pelfrey at the end: "No one cares what we think. We play every five days."

Gee added: "Sex sells in advertising, and home runs sell in baseball. But I’ve got a pitcher’s mind-set, and I love the big field."
Don Draper disagrees with you, but what does he know about advertising?
Wright and Bay, for their part, have largely deflected the notion they are stymied by Citi Field, at least in public. But Jeff Francoeur, a former Met and right-handed power hitter like Wright and Bay, was more outspoken when he called the park a joke earlier this year.
lolwat?
Dan Warthen, the Mets’ pitching coach, expanded on that thought and even said he supported shrinking the field. He said pitchers and their coaches had a measure of control in dictating where the ball went, provided they executed their game plan.
Dan Warthen, BABIP control

I actually agree with Warthen. Its pitching 101
You pitch a guy to the outside, you force him to go the other way. If he decides to be hard headed and pull the thing, then they ground out. Slow fastball or change on the inside of the plate forces a pull foul.

Easier said than done, won't avoid being hit around (BABIP zero is not the best strategy to make outs) and doesn't work for all hitters.
There are guys that consistently pull the outside pitch for HR for example.

Definitley, but to say that pitchers have no control over where a pitch goes is wrong
They can manipulate it, to a degree. I don’t like when people reference BABIP, that they say they can’t.

Yes, tell me again where I said they have absolutely no control.

I didn't say you did
I said that I don’t like when people do that.
