All this talk about the Mets finances
Makes me realize just how boring and uninteresting finances in general really are. Don’t we watch baseball so we don’t have to talk about this nonsense?

If payroll and finances are so important
why aren’t they on the scoreboard?

we should be asking this of the players
if your salary is so important…

Uh, hello- spreadsheets and robot managers and moneyballs

Admittedly, I never read the article
I just assumed it was another pro-Picard anti-Wilpon article bitching about minority investors or Mark Cuban or something. Maybe I should have, but eh, who gives.

I didn't either
It might be a great article, but I personally don’t like people joining AA with the express intent of advertising their website/blog/whatever.
That aside, I was just bringing up the typical canards regarding sabermetrically-inclined fans and the things that attract them to baseball.
Also, pita bread.

Is that bad form?
If so I apologize for any offense given.

it is not good form
but I don’t see the harm in a fanshot link. A different alias would have probably made a difference

got it, I thought transparency would be appropriate.

I use statistics as much as anyone else
I can’t objectively say how good or how valuable a player is with certainty using EYEZ alone. I didn’t think this would have anything to do with that though, I expected it to just be another copypasta of Dan Lewis’ fanpost, which is fine in its own right but we don’t really need to drill it into our minds.

For the record
It isn’t. It’s just about payroll comparisons and analysis. No opinion on ownership offered.

well now is your chance to give your opinion on ownership...
2012 New York Mets, World Series Champions!
I think people put to much stock in ownership and the amount it affects the team, front office management and on field play are what matters and unless it’s the Steinbrenner Yankees then most of the time ownership doesen’t hugely affect those things. Long way to say that few of the Mets current problems are the fault of the owners (in my opinion at least).

I just saw
an exciting episode of Mets Hot Stove
doesn’t look good for 2012-2015
One day, this team is going to kill me.
You know
I’m not getting any younger.
I’m beginning to think I’d better find that fountain of youth if I want to see another championship in Flushing.
