Mets not slated for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball in 2012

I say good, no reason to watch that godawful network next summer. I rather be listening to Gary, Keith, Ron and Ralph than those fools.

Some people were making a big deal of this. I’d rather have an afternoon game with GKR+R than a night game with Buck, McCarver and those bozos.

Bobby V and Hershiser with Buck? But same difference as my hatred of Hershiser goes back to 1988.

The only caveat here was if ESPN had selected a handful of Met games that would mean they deem us ’relevant this year.

The Mets may not be very good

But with Wright, Tejada, Davis, Duda, Murphy, Niese, Dickey and Santana, they are actually pretty fun to watch.

Not that I think ESPN’s baseball coverage is terrible (although I’m sure some people disagree with me) but I’d much rather listen to GKR. Also it’s really only a partial schedule that has been released and they still have TBD for June 3-July 1 (guaranteed to have a subway series game in there somewhere) as well as the entire second half of the year.
