Mets interested in Jeff Francis
Considering the lack of starting pitching depth and the not totally certain status of Santana he would not be a bad pick up. Three other teams are interested in him and the Mets have limited funds so I'm not optimistic that the Mets will sign him.

He was on my wishlist last year before they signed Cappy and Young
so I’d definitely be interested. He had a pretty decent year peripherally and if they could get him on a minor league deal as depth, that’d be a coup.

He's better than Gee which I guess makes it not a bad move.
It’s hard to get excited about upgrading our replacement level starter with a guy who will get 1 WAR or blow out his arm.
So basically Francis is more or less a younger Chris Young

Eh. His peripherals are better and he's not anywhere near as injury prone
