Hardball Times: Ten least-likely guys to break up a no-hitter
THT's Chris Jaffe uses purely unscientific means to narrow down the list of 10 guys whose names you'd only ever know because they turned a no-hitter into a one-hitter.
Of the 10 moments listed, four involve the Mets. That number goes up to 10 if you count ties, with only two of them occurring in the Mets' favor (Cleon Jones in 1965 and Anthony Young in 1992). And that's not even counting Kit Pellow busting up Tom Glavine's no-no bid in 2004...

This made me laugh
Finally, Tsao only had two hits in his entire career, but one of them prevented Steve Trachsel from throwing a no-hitter. I’m not sure which is more embarrassing, having the opposing pitcher ruin your no-hitter or being a team nearly no-hit by Steve Trachsel.
I’d go with the latter. Steve Trachsel had two one hitters in 2003, the aforementioned Tsao, and one against the Angels. I’ll let you guess who broke that up.

Ralph Kiner: You've gotta change the script, I don't like the script.
Gary Cohen: What's wrong with the script?
Ralph Kiner: Well the script should be the Mets win every day.
The least-likeliest guy is most likely to break up a no-hitter
