It doesn’t say what question he was asked. Cardinal fans will be happy to have him on the team, and Mets fans, fuck them. I’m sure he knew what everyone said about him because of one at bat in a game that the Mets never would have dreamed of reaching if not for him. Just because he makes a ton of money doesn’t mean he has to care about peoples’ feelings if they’re unwilling to return the courtesy.

I saw him as talking about Cardinals fans, not Mets fans, also, as in, “I don’t care if they loved me or hated me (2005 Astros, 2006 Mets), I wanted to sign with the best team, yada, yada, yada…”

people who need to sell their paper/articles to new yorkers. As much as us new yorkers pump ourselves up for being a wise fanbase of all our sports teams, we got more dumbasses claiming they could fix the Islanders (for example of a currently bad and less popular NY team, not trying to pick on anyone) than most franchises have fans
