I have a bad feeling that Scott Hairston is going to go elsewhere. If reports are true that the Braves, Phillies and Yanks are interested I just can't see the Wilponzis being willing to pay the market price. Prices are up. I would rather have Hairston than Angel Pagan and he got $10mm per. Different players to be sure but Mets will take anyone with an outfield glove at this point. It is also worth noting that all three of those suitors should be familiar with Hairston's play as all are in division or same town. I was very impressed by the year Hairston had at the plate. He really seemed to be on a lot of pitches. Right handed hitting outfielder...exactly what Mets need but...hope I am wrong.
