2012 AA Prospects List #4
With 74% of the vote Juerys Familia gets the runaway, early nod for #3 prospect.
The poll for #4 will be open until 12AM on Sunday. I have added three players to the poll raising the total to seven because people asked for more then five choices. When voting please do so without looking at the results first. I know it's tempting but I would like an honest result.
Additionally, please lobby who should be added to the next poll in the comments.
Do it up.

And lobby Jenrry Mejia

Didn't see your explanation on Poll #3 about Mejia, sorry.
I should have found out about this. I really have have done a thorough investigation of this.

Uh
I have added three players to the poll raising the total to eight
Nick Evans is neither a prospect nor a Met any more, so you might want to choose someone else for that eighth spot.
"I dunno. I never smoked any Astroturf. "
– Tug McGraw when asked about his preference for grass or astroturf
Kirk Nieuwenhuis
He may not be the most exciting prospect in this group but he’s the closest thing we have to a finished product in our organization. I see him getting called up some time near the all star break and taking over center field for good by the end of the year. If not, he’ll at least be a serviceable LH bat off the bench/4th OF.
More separation here.
I went with the ceiling of Nimmo over the floor of Nieuwenhuis. I lobby Cory Mazzoni.
Add Lagares soon then too
similar to Valdespin

I don't like him much, but you can certainly make a case for him.
Honestly numbers10-20 are pretty interchangeable, might need to increase the number of choices at some point.

I'm definitely a ceiling type of guy
so I decided to go Nimmo on this over Nieuwenhuis, though it was pretty close. I really think Nimmo’s going to bust out in Savannah (or wherever they send him) and make them look like geniuses.

I am surprised at this result
I thought Rob’s #7 ranking for Nimmo was appropriately optimistic/aggressive. Don’t get me wrong, when I fantasize about the next great Mets team All-Star Nimmo is front and center. But I want to see what he does this year first.

Along the lines of my thinking too.
I was tempted to vote for Nimmo but there’s just too little to go on yet. Here’s hoping he lives up to is ceiling hype though. He’s gonna be fun to follow.

I am more of a 'ready and waiting' type of prospect guy
so I voted Captain Crunch, er Kirk. I think Puello as #8 or #9 prospect is fine…top 5? that’s a little much
