Kazmir, Mets reunion very possible
Apparently Kazmir has six teams interested in him one being the Mets. I would say that with the lack of starting pitching depth, signing with the Mets would likely give him his best shot to make it back to the majors.

His arm is completely shot
This makes very little sense, unless they think it’ll bolster attendance in Buffalo.

I agree that he's likely done
I’m just saying if he has anything left his best chance to reach the majors again might be here.
Would you prefer Miguel Batista making starts if Johan isn't ready?

Miguel Batista was better last year than Kazmir.
Kazmir’s arm looks totally gone.

It's funny (yet sad too) because that's not even an exaggeration.
Batista was routinely sitting low 90’s with the Mets last year in his short stint. Pretty crazy for a 40 year old, especially when Kazmir can barely crack 90 at age 28.

Sort of unrelated, but sort of related.
Did Ben Sheets officially retire?

I don't think so (though that's an interesting question)
I believe he was in the Rangers organization, lost in the midst of all those other players, and the whirling Darvish.

Old news
Sheets was last spotted with the A’s. He even pitched for them (how the hell did I not know about this?)

If he can not walk the park, and throw 86-91, I'm totally down for it

Has Sandy discovered that Kazmir has a missing ligament in his elbow
and that Scotty boy has developed a devastating knuckleball?
That would be too much to ask for right?
Give the kid a AAA contract and see whats left.

Can we convert him to a knuckleballer?
That would at least be interesting.
Down 2 in the bottom of the ninth?
Lets Bring in Willie Harris!
Has there ever been a lefty knuckleballer?
Would be pretty cool to see. Someone call R.A. and see if he can to pitch lefty STAT.

Gene Bearden helped the Indians win a world series in 1948
He was a 27 year old rookie and lead the AL with a 168 ERA+. Sounds doable.
I think a more realistic projection is that R.A. Dickey will come close to Wilbur Wood’s 1971 season.

If it were that easy, pitchers would do it more often
I suppose if we’re totally desperate, we could send him to the Dickey Dojo, but will those lessons be worth the time? If he can climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, then yes for sure
