Mets STEP Camp Roster Released

STEP Camp is the pre-camp for the minor leaguers considered by the team to be top prospects in the organization. Just a couple of observations: 1. Starting pitching prospect Domingo Tapia received an invite, while fellow top prospects Akeel Morris and Juan Urbina, the other 2/3rd's of the Kingsport trio, did not. 2. 2011 19th round pick Dustin Lawley, who hit pretty well in Kingsport last season, is listed as a catcher. According to his B-Ref minor league page, Lawley played only 3rd base and center field last year. Considering how bereft of legitimate prospects the Mets are behind the plate, this is an interesting development, assuming it's not just a mistake.
