I think 2015 looks good
Let’s assume that we build only using the guys under team control, which is fair because even guys like DW are going to cost money, and are therefore somewhat more fungible than others.
SPs: Niese, Harvey, Wheeler, Mejia, Gee
RPs: Familia, Parnell, Schwindin, 4 TBD.
Infield: Thole, Davis, Havens, Tejada, Murphy
Outfield: Duda, 2 TBD
Bench: Kirk, Valdespin/Turner, Baxter, 2 TBD
That’s not bad at all. A lot of cash to fill in, and I don’t have a lot of guys in there who could make the team.

I sure hope Gee and Turner are not still on the team in 2015
In fact I’m hopng this is both of these guys last seasons here.
How did you type Gee's name without vomiting?

The key here is 2014
With Santana and Bay gone, we will have no guaranteed contracts on the books so we can start signing marquee free agents again. From then on, we can be exactly where we want to be, building a yearly contender from within and making smart deals to put us over the top. Minaya’s stench will have gone away at last and this team will be entirely Sandy Alderson’s.
plus when Wright gets traded, we'll have more in the farm

As time passes, I get the feeling that he'll be extended rather than traded

Hope you're right, but I'm skeptical
I think there’s a better chance of him staying if the team gets new owners.

- R.A. Dickey 3.0
- Matt Harvey 3.0
- Jon Niese 3.0

I can live with this.
I hope Wilpon is gone by this stage.
