This would be the main reason I want kids to broadcast the game.

I find it interesting that it’s only a one year deal. I would guess that might have been his call as he might be looking for a tv job next year.
That was my thought
But Rubin thinks it’s because the Mets contract with WFAN is up this year. Which makes sense.
