The Mets have announced through their new minor league twitter feed -- Mets Farm Report -- that they've signed Huntington, L.I. native and 2009 11th rounder LHP John Mincone to a minor league deal. After being drafted 350th overall out of Suffolk County Community College Mincone pitched in 30+ pro innings before signing with the Windy City ThunderBolts of the independent Frontier League in '11. He went 1-2 with a 4.61 ERA, striking out eight and walking nine over 13 innings. In other news, if you're between the ages of 18 and 44 and have a left arm get down to Port St. Lucie where Mets GM Sandy Alderson is eagerly waiting.
