Mets Cowboy Up, Literally, For Flight To Houston

For reasons related only to awesomeness, the Mets went for a western theme on their flight to Houston to face the Astros this week. I don't know whose idea it was, but it clearly wasn't a rookie hazing prank because newbies and veterans alike — even coaches! — got their Wild West on last night. There's something unmistakably delightful about this team. They're an awful lot of fun to watch, they don't seem to care much what people say about them, and they do stuff like dress up like cowboys because someone thought it'd be fun.

A bunch of photos have been posted on Twitter of Mets players all gussied up and you can check them out after the jump. Some Mets pull off the look with a casual effortlessness; others look like baseball players in a cowboy hat.
