And....scene (Photo by Tom Szczerbowski/Getty Images)
Hey, the Mets pitchers only allowed two runs. That's a good thing after last night, right? Oh wait, Brandon Morrow was good Brandon Morrow? Damn. The Mets did a whole lot of nothing against Toronto's DIPS hero, and the Blue Jays hit a few balls at Lucas Duda, which is generally a good strategy for scoring runs. Oh, and Justin Turner batted fifth for some reason. Shouldn't he bat third as to not disrupt the line-up? I don't even know anymore.
What I do know is the sooner we get out of Canada, the better. It's a scary place filled with mounties played by Paul Gross. And even if Roy Halladay doesn't live there anymore, artificial turf is an abomination against God. And the Blue Jays fans were mean to Ike Davis; I thought Canadians were supposed to be nice. Dillon Gee pitches tomorrow, and really, how much worse can it get? The real lesson here is stop dressing up in costumes before you go on road trips. Yes you too Jason Bay, even if you get a lifetime pass for that Whalers jersey.
The Mets tried to make it interesting in the ninth, but not all that interesting, because Mike Baxter can't run good. Maybe he should open a school for kids who can't run good. (Yes, the umpire missed the call by a whole bunch, robot umps plz)
We Knew it Was Over When
The Blue Jays put something other then a goose egg on the board? Seriously, goddamn you good Brandon Morrow.
Nice job by CTRefJay; your effort in the game thread embiggens us all.
