Time to break out the elusive FanChat... Now that Pablo Sandoval has broken his hamate bone, how much sense does a Dan Murphy-to-the-Giants trade make? Murphy has a lot of value and may be best served being traded for pitching, but the prize we'd all be going after is obviously Brandon Belt. Trading for Belt may mean that we'd be trotting out three first baseman every night, but I think a player of his talent (.343/.457/.596 career MiLB line) is definitely worth it. Obviously the big hope is to dump Bay and the Giants may now be desperate enough to take him on. Belt may be untouchable, but one can dream, right? Thoughts? Should Belt be unavailable, are there any other desirable players in the Giants' system?
