Greatest Mets Pitching Performance Ever?

Holy cow . . . when did the Mets pitching staff go from huge question mark to scary-good?!?!

How did RA Dickey do that? Making a major league team - with a .565 win pct at that - look like a bunch of Little Leaguers?

Nothing was even close to a clean hit! No walls had to be run into, no line drives had to be snared by diving infielders, no "look what I found" back handed stabs . . . no "are there enough pitches left in his arm to finish?"

This was complete and utter dominance. Marred only by an infield hit that will keep DW up all night wondering if going to the glove might have given him a chance . . . oh and an error followed by two passed balls.

I saw Ralph, Lindsay & Murphy call Jimmie Qualls break up of Seaver's bid for immortality with a bloop single. I can't really remember if there were other hard hit balls but it's hard to imagine the sheer number of 18" swing and misses that RA got tonight.

I can't think of a more dominating pitching performance by a Met - anyone think one of other one-hitters were as strong as this?
