AAA - Buffalo Bisons (38-39)_______________________________________

DURHAM 4, BUFFALO 3 (Box)

Buffalo dropped below .500 for the first time since the early going as Fred Lewis belting 2 homeruns wasn't quite enough to lift the herd over Durham. Matt Harvey was not all that efficient today, lasting just 5 innings on 93 pitches. Ignoring the pitch count though, it wasn't the worst of nights for Harvey by any means. Jordany Valdespin will be returning to the team today as they push to get back to .500 before starting a lengthy homestand.

AA - Binghamton Mets (35-38)_____________________________________

BINGHAMTON 7, ERIE 5 (Box)

Anyone in Erie last night was witness to the longest 9 inning game the B-Mets have played this season. The 3 1/2 hour affair saw the Mets emerge victorious after holding off a late rally by the hosts as Robert Carson managed to cap a 5 out save. Armando Rodriguez made the emergency start last night as he replaced the promoted Mark Cohoon (Buffalo). The B-Mets will also wrap up a lengthy road trip tonight (Wheeler is going) before heading home to Bingo.

Hi-A - St. Lucie Mets (2-1)________________________________________

St. Lucie was postponed due to bad weather. Looking at the upcoming forecast, I'd expect that from a bunch of the northeastern affiliates in the next few days.

Lo-A - Savannah Sand Gnats (1-3)__________________________________

AUGUSTA 2, SAVANNAH 1 (Box)

.The Gnats predictably fell after squeaking out only 3 hits yesterday. Alberto Mejia held the Gnats hitless through the first 6 innings of this one before being lifted due to pitch count. Cam Maron also saw his 16 game hitting streak snapped in this one.

    Appalachian League (R) - Kingsport Mets (1-5)__________________________________

    KINGSPORT 8, GREENEVILLE 3 (Box)

Kingsport finally got themselves in the win column after an offensive outburst saw them tally 8 runs in a four inning span. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

    Star of the Night

Doubling your homerun total for the season with a 2 homerun game? I have a hard time looking past Fred Lewis for last night's start of the night performance.

    Goat of the Night

I'll stay in Buffalo for the horns, handing them to Matt Den Dekker for a very ugly 0-5 night.
