I was reading TedQuarters the other day, and he had an article (http://tedquarters.net/words/but-why-do-they-suck-so-much/) about why our bullpen sucked. In the comments someone mentioned that you cant build a pen in FA and need to build it from the minor leagues. I have no evidence to back it up, and the reason this is a shot instead of a post is I dont have the time, but was wondering about others thoughts on the matter. We were all upset at the idea of putting Mejia in the pen, but should we move guys to the pen in the minors earlier on to get them ready? How do these other teams with good bullpens build theirs? When do their young arms switch to the pen? After watching our Pen blow our season (cause really, if we had a top notch pen we would be in this thing) is there not enough value to it to put some development effort in?
