Roger Clemens, Hall of Fame, and public opinion

On last night's ESPN broadcast, Orel Hershiser said he thinks Roger Clemens is training to come back to pitch one game so that he will delay his Hall of Fame eligibility by another five years. Clearly, the climate for suspected PED users is bad right now, and maybe it will be better in time. I think Hershiser deserves credit for recognizing the scheme and for making an unusually bold observation on Sunday Night Baseball (in my experience, ESPN tends to shy away from real controversy in favor of petty drama). What do you guys think of this idea? To me it seems right in line with Clemens’s personality: Narcissistic Douche. Also, has anyone else in the media made a similar observation?
