Instead of just cutting Jason Bay, in a final attempt to get any sliver of value of him, could we try sending him down the minors to regain his confidence and batting eye against weaker pitchers? I know Bay would have to agree with it, but I think he would. If we released him, no team would sign him. The most he would get would be a minor league contract, and thats a maybe. Bay is a loyal guy and a hard worker, so I'm sure he would accept an assignment to the minors, especially given that as an ultimatum to being released. Thoughts?
